During an interview with 3D Realms’ George Broussard about the XBLA port of Duke Nukem 3D, Team Xbox took it upon itself to ask what’s going on with Duke Nukem Forever. In response, Broussard stated that the project is “going really well” and that “There are several hours of fairly polished game to play.” Broussard added further that the game is undergoing testing and that “things are coming together,” saying, “It’s fun, it’s in focus, we know what bits are fun and which are not, and it’s just a matter of time now.” Broussard concluded by saying he’s “probably never been as happy or excited” about Duke Nukem Forever as he is right now. We’d like to share the sentiment, but at this point we are all but numb to Duke Nukem Forever. Here’s hoping we change our tune when the game releases, which may not be too far away if Broussard’s comments are anything to go by.

From xbox360.ign.com (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/900/900487p1.html ):
A subtly redesigned Xbox 360 controller has been spotted on the showroom floor at this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig, sporting a new-feel d-pad that addresses the previously unresponsive and spongy model. While aesthetically identical to the previous controller, the d-pad has been re-engineered to offer more instant control, with an eight way input taking place of the previous four. It’s expected to release at the same time as this year’s Pro Evolution Soccer, and the re-design is thought to have been inspired by the imminent release of Street Fighter IV.
Full Story: xbox360.ign.com (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/900/900487p1.html )

In a simpler time music games involved a jug labeled XXX and a whole lot of imagination. Today music games are a thriving multi-million dollar segment of the gaming industry where countless tracks and instruments are included to crowbar the money directly out of our wallets. One instrument that won’t be forced down our throats in Guitar Hero: World Tour is a keyboard peripheral … yet.
According to Neversoft’s Brian Bright, who allegedly told G4 that a new peripheral was coming to Guitar Hero World Tour only to have them speculate it would be a keyboard, has confirmed to Joystiq that they have bigger ideas for a keyboard title. “A keyboard controller deserves to be introduced with its own game. This is something we’re thinking about.” So, what about all the keyboard sections in the song creator? Bright says, “there are reasons why we haven’t included a keyboard controller.” He elaborates that not all of the songs have keyboard parts so, “adding a keyboard controller would either have limited our choices, or the players.”
Keyboard Hero confirmed? It had better happen, how else can we test our chops at “November Rain?”

SFIV\’s Yoshinori Ono has explained why parrying has been removed from Street Fighter IV.
